Having a pre-workout meal is very important if you want to release all your body’s potential in any sport you practice. This is the ultimate pre-workout smoothie that will give you all the energy you need to exercise hard!

This delicious smoothie tastes just like dessert and simply makes me happy every time I have it! But don’t think it is all just about the taste, actually this smoothie has all the components you are looking for in a good pre-workout meal. In a good pre-workout you should be looking for mostly healthy carbs and some protein, so that your body can release all the energy slowly through your workout.

Make sure that you have it around 30 minutes before you exercise so that you get the most out of it! Also remember that this is supposed to give you energy for the exercise but not to fill you up with the calories you want to burn- For this take into account how long you are gonna exercise to make sure you make some modifications in case your workout is not long enough. This smoothie has been though for a workout around 1 hour long or longer. If you want to lighten it up a bit for shorter workouts, just replace the milk with some water and ice, and avoid the honey!

INGREDIENTS

1/2 Banana (fresh or frozen)

1 Cup berries (fresh or frozen)

1/3 Cucumber

100ml Milk

100ml Skyr or yoghurt

1 Tbsp Oats

1 Tsp Honey

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cut the banana and the cucumber in slices, and place them together with the rest of ingredients in a blender until smooth
  2. Drink cold 30 minutes before your workout
